A: Good question. Prospective riders are usually brought to our attention through current team riders, regional sales reps or our Team Manager. Ideally, what we look for are skilled skateboarders with good attitudes who are progressing at a rapid rate and who are getting coverage in videos and magazines.
Sponsor-me videos are encouraged, but they're usually more effective after you've established some prior coverage. If you feel like you have good footage and are stoked on 5boro, we encourage you to send in a DVD or link to a clip(e-mailed to steve@5boro.com) with a little bio on yourself and a couple words about why you would want to represent 5boro. Give us some time to check it out and then follow it up with an e-mail to steve@5boro.com

DO NOT SEND EMAILS ASKING "WILL YOU SPONSOR ME" or "WHAT TRICKS DO I NEED TO KNOW TO BE SPONSORED." Emails requesting sponsorship without ALL of the above will be quickly deleted .
